Patron Saint Celebrations of Sant’Ampelio

From May 14 to 17, 2026, Bordighera renews its traditional Patron Saint celebrations dedicated to Saint Ampelio. Four days of tradition, local flavors, music, and the much-anticipated fireworks display over the sea.

Thursday, May 14 – Patron Saint’s Day

9:45 AM – Fishermen’s Mutual Aid Society
Announcement of the Parmurelu d’Oru 2026 award
11:00 AM – Parish Church of St. Mary Magdalene
Pontifical Mass presided over by the Bishop
4:30 PM – Departure from the Parish Church of St. Mary Magdalene
Procession through the city streets and blessing of the town
7:00 PM – Spianata del Capo
Food and music evening
10:00 PM – Capo Ampelio
Fireworks display over the sea - Postponed to Saturday 16 May

The celebrations continue with three evenings of food and music at Spianata del Capo, starting from 7:00 PM.
