Belvedere del Marabutto – Bordighera

The Marabutto, nestled in the Capo Pinewood, is a cubic stone building probably dating back to the 18th century. Its original function remains uncertain: mausoleum, private chapel or small shrine.

Today it has been transformed into a belvedere, where three historic cannons stand out: Butafoegu, Tiralogni and Cacastrasse, affectionately remembered by the people of Bordighera, giving the place symbolic charm and collective memory.

From the terrace one can enjoy a wide view of the sea and the old town, made unforgettable at sunset.
