The Béodo trail
The Beodo Trail follows the route of the ancient aqueduct that once carried water from the Monte Nero springs to the center of Bordighera.
About 3 km long, it winds through olive groves, dry-stone walls and pergolas, offering panoramic views of the sea and the town. The French architect Charles Garnier described it as “one of the most exciting walks in Bordighera”, and Claude Monet was equally fascinated during his stay. The path, easy and evocative, preserves the charm of Ligurian rural tradition, with stone channels still visible as testimony to the hydraulic ingenuity of the time.
Today it is a beloved route for hikers and visitors seeking nature, silence and authentic beauty, in a harmonious blend of history, landscape and memory.
